<trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
<title>Background</title><p>Background. A brief report on the effect of the drugs commonly used in the treatment of COVID-19 on the cardiovascular system.</p>
<title>Discussion</title><p>Discussion. Various medications have been used to treat COVID-19. Some of the most common drugs include hydroxychloroquine, remdesvir, favipiravir, fluoroquinolones, interferon-α2b, glucocorticoids, molnupiravir, and ritonavir/nirmatrelvir. Most medications can cause changes in the cardiovascular system, especially in the QT interval.</p>
<title>Conclusions</title><p>Conclusions. Physicians should take into account the cardiotoxic potential of all medications used in the treatment of COVID-19.
