<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Lyme disease (LD), or tick-borne borreliosis, annually affects thousands of people in different parts of the world, primarily the United States and Europe. At the same time, the issues of rational antimicrobial therapy of LD, which is aimed at achieving the desired effect while minimizing toxicity and adverse events, are becoming increasingly relevant. This review analyzes the literature data on the possibility of conducting short courses of antibiotic therapy for LD. The urgency of the problem under consideration necessitates further studies aimed at assessing treatment duration, with sufficient sample sizes and clearly defined treatment outcomes.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>болезнь Лайма</kwd><kwd>мигрирующая эритема</kwd><kwd>нейроборрелиоз</kwd><kwd>Лайм-артрит</kwd><kwd>антибактериальная терапия</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Lyme disease</kwd><kwd>erythema migrans</kwd><kwd>neuroborreliosis</kwd><kwd>Lyme arthritis</kwd><kwd>antibacterial therapy</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Исследование выполнено в рамках научно-исследовательской работы ФГБНУ «Научно-исследовательский институт ревматологии им.
