<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Nuclear receptors are transcription factors that are essential in embryonic development, cellular differentiation, metabolism . Ligand-regulated nuclear PXR receptor responds to diverse arrays of chemically distinct ligands , xenobiotics, drugs and regulates expression of the genes involved in xenobiotic and drug metabolism. The structural basis of the receptor provides interaction with a variety of ligands which are agonists or antagonists. Nuclear receptors researches are important for design of metabolism regulating drugs and in drug interaction studies.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>ядерные рецепторы</kwd><kwd>биотрансформация ксенобиотиков</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>PXR рецептор</kwd><kwd>CYP3A4 цитохром</kwd><kwd>nuclear receptors</kwd><kwd>PXR receptor</kwd><kwd>xenobiotic biotransformation</kwd><kwd>CYP3A4 cytochrome</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Shulman A.
